The Studio is a recent initiative of an optional course track offered to undergraduate science and engineering students who are undertaking the Lab 1 Course (Phy100). The idea of the Studio is to to design and initiate life-sized practical projects and run through the complete cycle of idea, design, building, analyzing and interpreting sophisticated physics experiments. The skills imparted are all up to best practices within the physics research arena. Browse through a fascinating account of narratives of sixteen projects taken up by fifty students in the Fall of 2015.Yes, all of this is happening at the Physlab. This could only be achieved by asking the right questions, having ready availability of basic infrastructure and materials resources (softwares, consumables, modern smart equipment), a brisk and competent technical team of instrument manufacturers and intimate mentoring.
